A thought just occurred to me about that com3 code that inserts the address for com3 into com1, etc. Does that insert the address into the space that only QB uses for com addressing? In other words, is that only fooling QB into using that address, or does it affect how other programs address the ports. If it only POKEs the value into the area where QB gets it's address info, then I can see how that would be a legitimate fix.
