JC>a .SYS file, if you make your own device drivers. With the linker that JC>comes with QB 4.5, you don't need EXE2BIN anymore. You just have to link JC>with the /BI [as in /binary] option. The LINKer automatically creates the JC>.COM file, but not the .EXE file. There are restrictions that apply to .COM Hmmm . . . the /BI option is not mentioned in the QB manual, nor in Ethan Winer's book, but it IS displayed as an option when you type LINK /HELP. If QB can't use this option, then what is it for? Can the QB linker be used with other languages? If so, how is it different from the other linkers? * SLMR 2.1a * if 4 bits=a nibble & 8=a byte..shouldn't 16=a mouthful? --- DB B1064/002487 * Origin: Gulf Coast BBS -QuickSHARE #2- (904)563-2547 HST/V.32bis (1:365/12)
