The one I use is the Pythagorian (sp?) therom. aý + bý = cý a = distance down or up to the target b= the straight distance to the target (no up or down) c= will equal the distance to the target. ..........A...... A --> Space ship 1 ................. B --> Space ship 2 ................. ................. ......B.......... Ship A is 2 sectors down from ship B, and 4 sectors away. distanceý= 2ý + 4ý distance = û20 which is (drum roll) 4.47 Hope this helps, Joe. --- * Origin: Star Flight BBS, (604) 362-5484, Rossland B.C.
