Kelly,

    I use QBSerial myself... links nicely with VB/DOS (use
the bc7ser and not qbser).

    But to answer you question:  If the port is locked,
call opencom with the locked port speed.  Use CTS/RTS flow-
control.  If possible, use a fossil (QBSerial 300 supports
Fossils) and you won't have to worry about non-standard
IRQ's and all that.
